Exploring Australian cuisines with a modern twist

Over the past few weeks, our Year 9 Food Studies students at Cobblebank Campus have been diving into the rich diversity of Australian cuisines.

As part of their learning, students prepared a variety of dishes that celebrate both traditional and contemporary food culture.

A highlight was creating Korean Tacos - a delicious fusion dish blending Korean flavours with the beloved taco format.

Students also explored vegetarian alternatives, using tofu or plant-based mince to ensure the dish was inclusive, sustainable, and aligned with modern dietary choices.

It was wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm shine in the kitchen!
