Year 12 student Ryan was among the students recognised at the recent Year 12 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Recognition Dinner, hosted by the Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA).

Families, friends, and supporters from across the dioceses in Melbourne came together to acknowledge the efforts of this year’s graduates and celebrate their success.

Ryan was joined by his family, mum Christine, and sister Alannah, who is also a tutor for the Indigenous program at SFCC.

Ryan and the other graduates were presented with a special Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander stole and a pin featuring Bunjil the Eagle, the spiritual protector of the Kulin Nation in Victoria.
