Cobblebank - Year 8 Fibre

Year 8 students at Cobblebank have been finishing their Sustainable Tote Bag task during their recent Design Technology Fibre classes.

Students spent Term 1 sewing their tote bags using calico and researching different foundations to represent on their bags.

The statewide plastic bag ban formed the basis for the task. Students had to create a saleable design they could envision selling alongside reusable bags at places such as Coles and Woolworths. Each design featured a foundation or charity for which the bags would hypothetically raise money with their sales.

Students enjoyed the task and came up with some great designs.
